Handmade Indian cottons sit alongside coloured muslins and some lovely traditional prints – fresh ginghams and French stripes in many assorted designs and colours. The upholstery velvet is stocked in every colour of the rainbow and is excellent quality and value.
The Cloth Shop is renowned for their collection of vintage fabrics. Specialising in 19th Century antique French linen sheets and sought after vintage, French tea towels. Woven linens from Eastern Europe include, Hungarian grain sacks (trendily converted to cushion covers by some high end interiors stores) and Romanian cart covers.
They have a beautiful selection of pure wool and cashmere vintage blankets, sourced from Wales, Scotland and Ireland in muted heather and earthy shades.
The owners Sam Harley and Alex Adams are on hand with really practical advice and recommendations and if needed they will point you in the right direction as to how your choice of fabric can be transformed into something really special for your home.
