The first Ally Capellino shop opened in 2005 on Calvert Avenue in Shoreditch, East London. Building on this success, the Ally Capellino brand's unique combination of timeless, British modernity and functionality is now coming to Portobello Road in West London.
For the launch - two bags have been designed exclusively for the new shop. The Vanessa handbag, an old favourite, has been reinvented in chocolate brown leather with an applique handle. For boys, a popular rucksack - the Golborne, is reinterpreted in a dark tartan fabric with tan leather base and straps. Both bags are made with durable leathers and British wax cotton.

The new shop is situated on the corner of Portobello Road and Golborne Road. The Rupert Blanchard interior is quintessentially Ally Capellino, using reclaimed wooden flooring from a gym and a mix of metal, leather and wood for fittings - a reflection of the old and modern qualities synonymous to the brand.

To celebrate the opening, artist Harriet Aston has also created unique brown-paper sculptures to be exhibited in the shop, echoing the images used throughout the Ally Capellino AW 2011 lookbook.
